Introducing Expo's new PA: Megan Henning
Hi everyone!
I'm Megan and I am about to start as one of the new program associates at Expo. I was born and raised in the wonderful state of Wisconsin, and completed my bachelors degree at St. Norbert College in Green Bay. At St. Norbert, I studied international studies with an emphasis on Africa, with a minor in sociology. During my senior year I studied abroad in Uganda for four months, so I'm excited to give West Africa a try!
After St. Norbert, I moved down to Sydney, Australia where I completed my master’s degree in development studies at Sydney University. I also went to the beach probably more often than I should have!
I was drawn to Expo because of their peer-to-peer tutoring program. Having worked as a camp counselor for three summers, I absolutely love working with youth. I can't wait to arrive in Ghana and get started!
With the formalities out of the way, here are a few fun facts about me. As you probably guessed from my home state, I absolutely love cheese, and I love my Green Bay Packers. I am without a doubt a dog person (sorry cat people). My favorite past times are water skiing and curling (that weird sport on ice with brooms) so if anyone has a way to start a curling club in Ghana, please let me know!
